I have explained this approach thousands of times as I introduce Adiós! Mo Skitos! (AMS) to the world. Many have asked why not just add a little something artificial to make it blend on it's own? I always answer the same. "Well, that wouldn't make it all-natural anymore, right?" I will laughingly add something to the effect that if someone is too bothered to simply shake a small bottle before applying some natural oils that not only repel what's eating you, they are absolutely fantastic for your skin, well then, go on...git bit!
NATURALLY BUILT-IN TIME-RELEASE MECHANISM
What you see inside a bottle of AMS is castor oil floating on the top with the lighter oils underneath. When you shake AMS you are forcing the lighter, scented oils into the thicker castor oil which turns the oils a slight milky color. This is the natural "time-release mechanism. That is when you know AMS is fully blended. The more you shake it, the longer it will last. Once shaken well, Immediately spray AMS into your hand and rub it in like you would sunscreen. Cover every part of your body that is exposed. AMS is great for your face, so don't be shy when protecting your face, hair, ears and neck.
Many of my customers have shared that AMS has actually cleared up their acne, which is just another side bonus of AMS.
Scientifically, what is happening after you apply it is that the lighter oils begin to make their way up through the thicker castor oil, and as they reach the surface, they bloom that lemony scent all around you, creating a protective aura which is what is repelling the biting bugs.

According to the EPA, an inert ingredient is any substance other than an “active” ingredient (like DEET) in a pesticide product. It is important to note, the term “inert” does not imply that the chemical is non-toxic.
Did you know?
Many countries outside the US strictly ban DEET use due to health and environmental concerns.

Denatured alcohol is common in many bug repellents, On some bottles of insect repellant that use denatured alcohol, there are warnings that state: “Warning: this product is toxic to aquatic life with long-term effects”
Denatured alcohol is ethanol alcohol (like the kind that goes in your gas tank) that's been mixed with toxic additives to make it poisonous. It's also flammable and can potentially burn you without you realizing it, so you should be careful when using it, especially in the sun.

Polysorbate 20, found in common bug repellants, can be harmful if inhaled, ingested, or absorbed through sensitive skin? It can also cause serious eye irritation and allergic skin reactions.
Did you know?
By carefully reading the labels on the bug repellants that we put on our skin, we can avoid putting dangerous chemicals on our families, friends, our earth and our oceans; chemicals that may kill the bugs around you for now, but what long-term effects are we all to suffer?
PLEASE READ YOUR LABELS
